This Cookie Policy explains how Unlayered 3D, Inc. (“Unlayered 3D,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use www.unlayered3d.com and related web-based Services.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage, scripts, pixels, and browser-based identifiers. We use these technologies to operate accounts, remember choices, support security, and, with consent where applicable, measure Website usage.

3. Cookies Currently Used by the Website

The current Website uses the following first-party cookies or browser-stored values:

pilot_session

  • Purpose: authentication/session management for authorized accounts or pilot/customer access.
  • Typical contents: an HMAC-signed account/customer identifier and expiration information; it does not itself carry the user’s email or name.
  • Typical duration: up to 7 days.
  • Security attributes: designed to use HttpOnly, Secure in production, and SameSite=Lax.
  • Category: essential.

cookie_consent

  • Purpose: remembers whether the user accepted or rejected optional analytics/preference storage.
  • Typical value: accepted or rejected.
  • Typical duration: up to 1 year.
  • Category: essential consent-state storage.

theme

  • Purpose: remembers a light/dark display preference.
  • Typical duration: up to 1 year.
  • Category: preference.
  • Current behavior: this preference is stored only after the relevant consent is accepted and may be cleared when consent is rejected.

Cookie names, attributes, and durations may change as the Services evolve. We will update this Policy when material practices change.

4. Analytics

The Website currently uses Vercel Analytics for page-level traffic and usage measurement. The current implementation loads or retains Vercel Analytics only after the user accepts the applicable analytics consent.

We do not currently use advertising cookies, third-party advertising networks, personalized advertising cookies, or cross-context behavioral advertising technologies on the Website.

Google Search Console may be used by the Company to understand search-engine indexing and discoverability, but it is not described here as a Website cookie because it does not require the Website to place a Google Search Console cookie on visitors merely for the Company to review search-performance reports.

5. Third-Party Services

When you choose to interact with third-party services, those providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Depending on the feature you use, these providers may include:

  • Vercel – hosting, edge services, and analytics;
  • Google Identity – sign-in authentication;
  • Calendly – embedded or linked scheduling functionality;
  • Stripe – hosted payment checkout;
  • PayPal – payment processing where offered.

Other backend providers, such as Resend, Vercel Blob, Upstash Redis, Google Sheets, and IPQualityScore, may process data in connection with the Services but do not necessarily place a browser cookie merely because they are used by our backend.

6. Security and Rate Limiting

We may process IP address, submitted email address, session identifiers, and other technical information for security, authentication, rate limiting, fraud prevention, VPN/proxy/Tor detection, and abuse prevention. These activities do not always require cookies and are described more fully in our Privacy Policy.

7. Managing Your Choices

Where a consent control is presented, you can accept or reject optional analytics or preference storage through that control. You can also delete or block cookies using your browser settings.

Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, authenticated customer areas, or other account functionality from working correctly.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, vendors, functionality, or legal requirements. We will update the “Last Updated” date when changes are posted.
